The Challenge

A Unique Value Proposition

Maersk wanted to emphasize its unique value proposition including advanced safety standards, sustainability features, and technological innovation. Yet there was no way to bring potential customers offshore to experience these capabilities firsthand. In fact, even most Maersk employees had never set foot on one of their own rigs. The challenge was clear: demonstrate Maersk’s value beyond cost, communicate the rig fleet’s safety and sustainability story, and increase both sales and margins.

The Solution

We set out to make the invisible visible. Together with Maersk, we created a highly immersive digital twin experience that allowed customers to explore the rigs in unprecedented detail, without ever leaving the shore. Three different rig types were digitally reconstructed after extensive R&D. The Frank Valiant team visited docked rigs to capture lidar scans, reference photography, and CAD corrections, while collaborating closely with Maersk’s operations team to ensure every detail was accurate and authentic.
